This is a Bible Study course devoted to providing a basic understanding of the Gospel of Jesus Christ.
Course Description
ObjectiveGospel 101 is a 6 week course that provides students with an in-depth understanding of the Gospel of Jesus Christ based on biblical scripture references. Each week will be devoted to building a deeper understanding of the message of the Gospel of Jesus Christ.
A combination of scripture reading and discussion will be be used to provide a "bootstrap" approach to helping the student understand and explain the Gospel of Jesus Christ.
Optional homework assignments will be suggested each week to underline the points made in the classroom.
Then Jesus came to them and said, "All authority in heaven and on earth has been given to me. Therefore go and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, and teaching them to obey everything I have commanded you. And surely I am with you always, to the very end of the age." -- Matthew 28:18-20
The first objective of this course is to teach students the basics of the gospel message so that they too can lead others to Jesus Christ.
The second objective of this course is to help the student grow in the Body of Jesus Christ by daily spiritual nurishment through the Word of God.
The third objective of this acquaint the student with various Bible Study techniques including the use of a concordance, a topical index and commentaries
PrerequisitesRecommended Next StepsThe student is required to bring a bible to class each week.
After taking this course the student is encouraged to further develop spiritually by:
continuing to read the Word of God daily.
joining a small group bible study.
